Old City Green

Run by urban farming pros, OLD CITY green boasts a garden center in the the city that D.C. residents can visit for supplies, workshops and special events.

We worked with OLD CITY green to execute a social marketing campaign through email, social media, and social advertising – targeted at local urban agriculture enthusiasts – to boost sales and attendance at special events.

We offerred exclusive deals to Facebook fans, answered customers’ gardening questions on Twitter during peak planting season, and promoted OLD CITY green through all of it’s online channels.

The campaign saw a huge increase in online exposure for OLD CITY green. Facebook reach jumped 900%, Twitter mentions increased by 9000%, and the click-through rate on emails nearly doubled.

Modern Liquors

Modern Liquors is a historic specialty wine and liquor shop here in Washington DC. At the corner of 9th & M St. NW, it looks like an ordinary corner store from the outside – but Modern Liquors has been in business since the prohibition-era, and now even stocks it’s own exclusive, hand crafted Filibuster Bourbon whiskey available only through the store. They offer a great selection of hard-to-find specialty liquors, and some great hometown DC brews to boot.

To help boost customers, we created a campaign for Modern Liquors featuring special offers available only to Facebook fans. We promoted the offers on social media, and with email, hyper-targeted Facebook ads, and outreach to neighborhood groups and blogs.

Modern Liquors not only saw a jump in their online reach, but also got more customers in the door for regular wine and liquor tastings and helped boost sales at the register.

 

 

 


Azi’s Cafe

Azi’s Cafe is a great coffee and pastry shop in Shaw, DC.  When they wanted help attracting more neighborhood customers, we worked with them to set up and expand their full social media presence.

We created a campaign to increase Facebook fans, Foursquare check-ins, and Yelp reviews by promoting a series of specials available exclusively to customers who found the deal through social media channels. The campaign was supported with hyper-targeted Facebook ads and outreach to neighborhood groups and blogs.

The campaign generated the foundation for a full social media presence, and created new tools to support the store’s future marketing efforts.

 

 

 

First Cup Cafe

First Cup Cafe is a coffee shop in D.C. that prides itself on being neighborhood friendly, with a wide range of coffees from around the world, great lunch options, custom catering, and meeting space for business meetings. Located across from the DC Convention Center, it’s perfect for everyone from DC locals to out-of-towners visiting for large conferences.

To increase First Cup Cafe’s customer base and social reach, we created a campaign based on customer favorites, available to anyone who “Likes” First Cup Cafe on Facebook. After six weeks, four specials, and one delicious photo shoot, First Cup Cafe saw some tasty results.

The campaign boosted website traffic by 90%, increased Facebook fans by more than 3x, and increased First Cup Cafe’s social reach on Facebook by more than 725%! Best of all, First Cup Cafe staff saw more customers in the store, and return visitors asking for the Facebook specials.

     

      

 

The Bike Rack

The Bike Rack DC logoWe worked with The Bike Rack DC on a full web campaign to boost online engagement, Facebook fans, and new customers.

To get started, we completed a full content strategy for all of The Bike Rack’s marketing channels and scheduled our campaign. We built a custom Facebook campaign – The Bike Rack Holiday Gear Giveaway – to give special perks to Facebook Fans, and spread the holiday love.

Supported by email marketing and Facebook ads, the campaign doubled The Bike Rack’s Facebook fans, increased website engagement by more than 150%, and increased their email list size by almost 10%.

DNL OmniMedia

When the government almost shut down in 2011, we were ready to stay open late. We launched governmentshutdowntsirts.com, set up an online store-front, teamed up with District Design Group to produce t-shirt designs, and went from concept to t-shirt delivery in less than 72 hours – ready to hit the national mall and local news.

Luckily for everyone except our t-shirt enterprise, the political ring-masters in Washington closed a late-night deal and (partially) avoided national anarchic catastrophe. Now, our super-limited-edition tee’s are a highly coveted collectors item among our finest fans and friends.
